Landrover Bonnet Bulge

This is a conversion kit I designed and made to fit the gelande landrover.  It turns the stock recessed bonnet into the later version with the bulge.

The kit comes with a cnc cut flat piece of HIPS to replace the old bonnet and vac formed HIPS bulge and support piece to go underneath just to hold the flat plate in place.

It does require a fair bit of work and I would say moderate modelling skills. The best way is to draw round the flat plate and cut away the old bonnet then fix the new plate in place and fill and sand this so it is nice and smooth and flat, then add the bulge, and feather the edge in with filler. It’s one of those modifications that the more effort you put in, the better it looks. This is made from HIPS so can be stuck directly to the gelande body which is also HIPS and comes in three parts, then bonnet bulge, flat plate and support piece.
