Model Boat 50 gallon Oil drum

This is a 1:20th scale 50 gallon oil drum or barrel.  This was something I designed and made when I was building 1920s tramp steamer, as I wanted a couple to go on deck for decoration.

This is rotary cast, meaning it is a complete sealed barrel, but hollow at the same time so it can be stood up or laid on its side, pending the look you are going for.  I made it this way as all the ones I found were solid resin, and heavy or heavy when putting it on a model  boat, so by making it hollow helps keep the weight down, oppose to it being a heavier solid chunk of resin.


This item is ideal for a model boat or large scale model railway like G scale and I have included a picture of a couple finished and painted and weathered on my boat so you can see what it can look like when finished.
